We are in week two without a job. Mark has applied for about 80 plus jobs and we are excited because he has had three interviews. I'm sure you're wondering why we are excited for three interviews! After talking with several people we have come to realize its about one interview out of 100 applications, so we are blessed, that he has had three! No, its not a bed of roses, yes, there are days we feel a little overwhelmed, yes, my husband desperately wants to be back at work and yes, I there are days I need him back at work (come on I'm not a saint)! According to the Department of Labor, the number of unemployed persons increased by 787,000 to 14.5 million in May, and the unemployment rate rose to 9.4 percent. Since the start of the recession in December 2007, the number of unemployed persons has risen by 7.0 million, and the unemployment rate has grown by 4.5 percent-age points. Unemployment rates rose in May for adult men (9.8 percent) United States Department of Labor. What a staggering statistic! Our Lord comforts Mark and I and we rest assured that even though this mountain may be bigger then we ever imagined, we believe faith still moves mountains and when it get discouraging that its not moving fast enough. We're reminded that God sees the big picture, we may not understand His plan, but we have faith knowing His plan is much grater then anything we can even comprehend. Today was a tough day but, we are encouraged that God has a plan and we continue to press on. 2 Samuel 22:31
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
